How often should I use Doggie Day Care? |

You can use DDC every day if you wish, dogs love company over being alone. You are welcome to whatever care you seek for your dog/s, we are all different and it really does vary for everyone. Once you have paid for a set of stamps you may use one stamp per contact on Mindadog.com your contact with this person is open and you will not have to pay for contact with this individual again, this means that you have the freedom and safety to find out if you would like to give the person your personal contact details or not.
The person you are contacting does not have to have stamps for the stamps you have paid for to work, if you pay for stamps and they have not, you are still able to communicate. |

What are the maximum dogs I should have in my care per day? |

This all depends on what you feel comfortable with and how your dogs all get along, if you have a big secure yard and plenty of time to supervise the dogs and play with them, you will find the limit will come naturally, it might be a bit hectic but as long as the dogs are all happy and you are happy the limit is yours to decide, its your business.

What do I charge? |

The going rate can vary from Free or swapping care to around $40 per day, per dog.
If you were to charge $10 per dog a day, I am sure you would be very busy indeed, but don’t be fooled, looking after dogs can be hard work, the rewards however are lots of licks and wags and this makes it all worth it.
As a owner of 2 dogs myself I look for affordability and loving minders and when I can find it, I use $10 per dog, per stay care because this means I can use Doggie Day Care every day when I am at work and know that my furry babies are getting lots of love, exercise and attention. Many minders charge $25 per dog per day.
You can always ask what your new client would like to pay and work from there; it may give you a better idea of pricing to start. You can also ring your local kennels to get an idea of what to charge, this way your will be competitive in price but have the upper hand because you are in a home and the dogs are free to run around and play. |
